Top Ten | Albums
Another in the Top Ten series. Albums.
I think my cousin introduced me to this album, it was so different to the pop I was listening to at the time and probably opened my mind up to different genres.
This was our family car album. I feel like every family has one of these. It was always on, we never changed it and everyone knew every lyric to every song. Made for really great long drives.
This could be my favourite album, ever. Big statement to make, hence why I said maybe, I just can't commit! Every song is beaut and reminds me of being the age I am now if that makes sense. It makes me nostalgic for now, yeah that doesn't make sense.
Soulful, haunting, mesmerizing voice. I just love her and this album.
They had a bumpy ride but I was a fan right from the start 'brother'.
I was given this album as a present when I spent my first Christmas in Australia. Had no idea who she was or what kind of songs she sang but I now enjoy every song on the album still after however many years it's been.
I saw these guys support Florence and The Machine before The Horrors not knowing who they were. As soon as I got home I done my research, they had made such an impression on me. Ended up loving them and this album.
The most heaviest album on the list and some people would still call it pretty light. I became obsessed with their song Jeremy and the story behind it that I naturally started listening to the album that it was on and loved it.
Summer, summer, summer, is what it reminds me of especially 'Young Blood'. My friend has it on vinyl and we would listen to it and it would take me back to just being outside with my friends in the summer time. We don't really do that anymore, just chill outside.
Me and my friend Katrina's favourite band, we seen them play in our local student's union and it was one of the best night's of our lives. I remember buying this album rushing hoe, putting it into the CD player and just lying on my bed listening to it in full for the first time. Magic.

Sound of 2015 | March Playlist
This month I don't think I've added a single song to my 2015 Soundtrack on Spoifty because I've just been listening to albums on shuffle. I thought I would share what I've been listening to anyway!
Fall Out Boy - American Beauty/American Psycho
I first started listening to these guy when my little brother bough his first ever CD back in 2007, 'Infinity on High' and we've been listening ever since. Their newest album 'American Beauty/American Psycho is killer, 'Irresistible' is my favourite I think. I've also been loving 'Centuries', 'Fourth of July', 'The Kids Aren't Alright' and 'American Beauty/American Psycho'.
I have loved her music since 'Hollywood' and 'Mowgli's Road' which is a crazy 5 years ago! I'm really enjoying her new album 'Froot' songs on the album like 'I'm A Ruin', 'Happy' and 'Gold' are so rad, I just really dig her style.
When Tyler Oakley dedicated a whole Psychobabble episode on his podcast to this absolute queen I was so happy. I can't think of a Kelly Clarkson song that I don't rate, like Tyler and Korey said, she's timeless. 'Invincible' is just amazing along with 'Nostalgic' and 'Second Wind'.
Ugh, this band, I am just dieing about them. I can't cope with his accent when he sings, it just makes me melt, in love. 'Make a Beast of Myself' is probably when I first heard about them and their new album 'Great Divide' is well, great! I have 'Heart and Soul' and 'Hold On' on repeat.
Years & Years
Even though their album hasn't been released yet, I am still obsessed, they are becoming my band of the year as I've mentioned them in every months playlist. New songs that I've been loving from them are 'Worship', 'Memo' and 'Traps'. Their sound is just perfect.

Sound of 2015 | February Playlist
Years & Years - Real
I've been obsessed with these guys this year so it's no wonder why they've made it into my January and February playlist and probably my March playlist to be honest. They are an electronic trio founded in London consisting of frontman and keyboardist Olly Alexander, bassist Mikey Goldsworthy and synth player Emre Turkmen. You might also recognise Olly from the silver screen. I thought I knew his face when I seen him on BBC introducing and turns out I did, from the film The Riot Club. Talented boy!
Imagine Dragons - I Bet My Life
If you haven't seen these guys, do! The first time I seen them was pure magic, I had a smile from ear to ear the whole way through their set. This is one of their newest videos, starring the amazing Dane Dehaan who I know from the film Kill Your Darlings. Me and my brother have been playing this song non stop this month, such a belter.
An oldie but a goodie. Her new single L.A.LOVE is a good wee tune too but it being released made me remember London Bridge and how much I used to love it. So glad it's back in my life, thanks fergie ferg.
I seen these guys when they were supporting Florence and The Machines and I had no idea who they were but they must have left a good impression because afterwards I gave them a good stalk and really got into their first album. This is the first song I've heard off their new album and it sounds promising!
I heard the alternative version to this on a Will Darbyshire video and fell in love, I've seriously been sending this to everyone, it's so beautiful.
Frankie Valli - Grease
This has always been my favourite song from the movie and I've included the video because I think it's really neat. It's even one of my favourite parts in the movie, don't even know why I love it so much.

Sound of 2015 | January Playlist
I've started a 2015 soundtrack on Spotify which you can follow hereee 2015 Soundtrack and I thought I would keep track of it by blogging the tracks I add each month. These are the kinds of things I like to document so it's easy to look back and remember. I've super cool style so you'll totes wana give these sick beats a listen (soz swifty).
I love love love these songs and hope you will too, music it's just the best yano? I'm now going to have 51 minutes of pure chill, peace out lovelies! Also, I'm not sure what I think about my outro photo below. I changed it recently and I'm just not feeling it. I need a design upgrade!

Hozier | Album Spotlight
Hozier's single 'Take Me To Church' was one of the most played songs on Spotify of 2014 and has over 40 million views on YouTube. Safe to say he's pretty popular in the music scene right now and rightly so, his song writing is amazing and his voice is beautiful. I thought I would pay homage to that and write up my five favourite songs from the album in no particular order.

Taylor Swift 1989 | Album Spotlight
This post has been sitting in my drafts for ages, I completely forgot about it! I bought this album after hearing it was very 80's pop even though I'm not the biggest fan of 'Shake It Off'. I am so happy I bought this, I love it back to front! It's great and here are my top five songs from the album. It's super hard to get audio so I thought I would post people's covers, people helping people!

What I'm Listening To | Girl Power
Part 2 in the Boys Vs. Girls #WILT highlights the fabulous female solo artists that are kicking butt with their simply divine voices.

Ella Henderson - Glow
This 18 year old British singer-songwriter came sixth on the ninth series of the UK X Factor and was signed straight away. Her first single Ghost was a major hit soaring straight to number 1 in the UK charts when released. Her second single Glow is a solid follow up with a youthful twilight sound.

Lykke Li - No Rest For The Wicked
Li Lykke Timotej Svensson is a 28 year old singer-songwriter from Sweden with very indie pop, electric sounds. I hear her songs quite a lot on TV shows, particularly at dramatic times or to end the episode and they fit perfectly. The crashing drums in the chorus of this song are like a massive wave that come after those soft lyrics.

Sia - Fire Meet Gasoline
Sia Furler is a 38 year old singer-songwriter from South Australia. She has over 20 awards under her belt for her work with other artists as well as her own. Her single Chandelier shot to number 1 quickly putting her in the spotlight, which brought to light her song writing abilities as she wrote famous songs such as Pretty Hurts for Beyonce and Diamonds for Rihanna. Fire Meet Gasoline is a roaring song that I pray she releases as a single, it is sublime.

This boy! He has to have the most superlative voice in music right now. Only 22, this singer-songwriter from London, England, has already won awards for critics choice, sound of 2014 and breakout music artist. This is my favourite song of his and one of my favourite songs ever, yes it is that good! Such a chilled vibe with a euphoric chorus.

My favourite artist at the minute, 24 year old Andrew Hozier-Byrne from County Wicklow in Ireland, known mainly as just Hozier. Since his single 'Take Me To Church' hit the charts he has started to grow in popularity, preforming on hit American shows like SNL, David Letterman and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. I've listened to his self titled album over and over again, it was really hard to choose a favourite but I went with this finger clicking, toe tapping, gospel like tune.

Troye Sivan - Fun
YouTube sensation, Troye Mellet, is a 19 year old South African born singer-songwriter and actor living in Perth, Australia. He is the cutest wee thing! I have been watching his YouTube videos for over a year now and I couldn't be more happy that he is releasing his own music. His EP TRXYE is out now and shot straight to number 1 when released. Fun is my favourite song off the EP, digging the relaxed dreamy vibe.

ED SHEERAN
09/10/14 me and my little brother went to see Ed Sheeran in Belfast. It was my brothers birthday present from me because was turned 18 two days later. He was amazingggg. He sang my favourite song 'I See Fire' which I was super happy about. It didn't last as long as I thought it would, maybe an hour and a half.
I've seen him once before about 4 years ago but this was my favourite show by far! I managed to make a wee vine also if you fancy checking that out.

Top Ten | Gigs
I've been to a lot of gigs, more so recently since I've come to university. It's far easier to get tickets to a gig in England than it is in Ireland. Even though I have made some questionable choices of gigs in the past
*cough* westlife *cough* clubland *cough* Akon *cough*
I have been to some awesome gigs, mostly ending up in me going home that night and becoming obsessed with them for the next month.
I'm slowly making a scrapbook of all the gigs I've been too that I hope to update this summer when I've more time and money.

| said scrapbook Let's just jump straight in. __________________________________ COLDPLAY (Sunderland, Stadium of Light - 07/06/12) this was defiantly top of my list, hands down best gig i've ever been too. it was their mylo xyloto tour were they gave out light up bracelets for everyone to wear. it was magical, i only wish i had chris martins view when they all lit up. honestly look you to another world IMAGINE DRAGONS (Belfast, Ulster Hall - 19/08/13) now this was magic, i can't even explain how this gig made me feel. all the synonyms for the word happy x100 i just felt so much joy at this gig. i was with my best friend lorna and the fact that she was feeling it as much as me made it so much better. so much love for the lead singer dan, he made it so memorable BEYONCE (Belfast, Odyssey Arena - 31/05/09) queen b, sasha fierce, i am... world tour. she is flawless. i've been obsessed with every album and i just had to go to this concert! it's the dearest one i've been too but i would have paid double the price. her energy is crazy. cried KANYE WEST (Belfast, Odyssey Arena - 08/11/08) can't believe it was nearly six years ago that i seen this genius. i know he's quite controversial and not everyone loves him but i do. graduation is one of my favourite albums and i used to be obsessed with him around 2008 and i made it known haha. cried OASIS (Belfast, Odyssey Arena - 29/10/08) i'm so glad i got to see these guys before they split. every song i've heard of theirs, i adore. even though the gig was 90% smelly males i have such a good time. ps noel is my favourite hehe FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE (Newcastle, Metro Radio Arena - 16/03/12) the line up that night was perfect, spector, the horrors and florence. florence was a vision, her voice is just incredible THE VACCINES (Belfast, Queens SU - 26/03/11) front row in a really small venue is my favourite. i swear justin was just singing to me. we also met freddie in the club after the show and nearly got into vip where the rest of the bad were if it hadn't been for a poopy security guard. but they played all my favourite's of the album BASTILLE (Edinburgh, Liquid Room - 01/03/13) these guys are seriously good live. so much energy, sounding identical to the album and dans hair bigger than ever. they seem like such nice guys too in interviews which always makes me like artists more. wish we had of bumped into them after the show cus i'm sure they would have been knocking around LONDON GRAMMAR (Newcastle, Northumbria SU - 10/02/14) i was supposed to see them in october but it got postponed to february but they were worth the wait. hannah reid's voice range is incredible i couldn't get over it also i fancy the drummer and his hair BEN HOWARD (Newcastle, Northumbria SU - 20/02/12) such a good vibe that night, the aura was just so peaceful and hypnotic. i'm really glad i got to see him in such an intimate setting. it was the first time i heard 'depth over distance' and i don't think i'll ever forget it. cried _________________________________________ So many gigs have been left out of this list that where incredible too but there's my list. LONDON GRAMMAR
Last night me and a few friends went to see London Grammar in my student union. We were supposed to see them in October but it got postponed so we've been waiting a long time and it was defiantly worth it!
There were two support acts Say Lou Lou and Kyan, both were actually really good which is always a bonus.

| me and joe having a boogie before hand The lead singer, Hannah Reid, has thee most beautiful voice ever, honestly she is flawless. My favourite song off the album 'when we were young' wasn't played but I came out with a new favourite, 'metal and dust'. The guy playing the way he did on the drums just made it for me. Also helps that he is fineee. They were all perfect and everyone had an awesome night, defiantly one of the better gigs I've been too!
