MAC Lip Duo | Heroine

MAC lipstick in shade Heroine and MAC lip pencil also in shade Heroine are my first MAC purchases and I couldn't be happier with them. I wouldn't wear this shade as an everyday look but it's great for nights out, festivals and things like that for something a little different. I have also been pairing it with other lipsticks to tone it down a bit because it is very bright. Sounds strange maybe but a coral lipstick paired with this is gorge it's like a subtle neon, if neon can be subtle! I love making my lips look bigger with this pair and I will defiantly be purchasing more shades, maybe a gorge red or everyday nude, suggestions of your favourites are very welcome!

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick Review

First, confession time, there was originally three of these little fellas but I lost one on a very messy Paddy's Day. It was in the shade 'Fancy' which was a slightly sparkly nude pink colour. I had quite the dramatic eye look going on what with the whole green theme so I went for a more subtle lip which 'Fancy' was perfect for. The two lipsticks in the photo above are in the shades 'Amethyst Shimmer' (left) and 'As You Want Victoria' (right). They price at £6.49 and claim to "moisturise lips without compromising on colour" and I can vouch for that! If you like a shiny lasting lip product then try this range. There are 20 shades available, my favourite name being 'Saved By The Bell'. They have almost like a creamy texture and wear really well. I think they will look great with Spring and Summer makeup. I will defiantly be purchasing more shades!

Favourite Lush Products

I love lush as much as the next guy and girl and I've done the impossible by narrowing down some of my favourite products. Minus all the incredible bath bombs and bars obvs.

Sea Salt Shampoo
This is a weird one when you first start using it, the texture is different to any other shampoo I've used. Once it starts to lather up though it works like a treat. It makes my hair feel thicker and stronger and leaves it smelling gorgeoussss.

Brazened Honey Face Mask
I got this for my birthday from my friend lj and I've been using it every other week since, I just love it. It smells like a bunch of fresh flowers and works so well on my skin. It brings everything to the surface and leaves you with clear skin for the next day.

Bubblegum Lip Scrub
Can't get over how much I'm loving this product, I really thought it wouldn't do much but believe the hype. I can't imagine ever needing to purchase another one of these because it last such a long time and because of that I think it's very cheap. Tastes delicious also.

What are your lush product must haves?

Sleek | Makeup Brand Spotlight

I've been using Sleek products for a wee while now and it's become one of my favourite drugstore makeup brands. Their products are so affordable and super good quality!

One of the first eyeshadow products I bought was the i-Divine in Ultra Matte V2 (£7.99) I've used it so much so that the lid has broke off. These colours are perfect for night time because they are more dramatic along with some neutrals for day wear.

Another palette I bought was the eye & cheek palette in dancing til dusk (£10) It's so handy when travelling because of the neutral and bold shades.

Contouring was a scary concept before I bought this kit, I just had know idea how to go about it but with Kim K spilling the T I was intrigued. So I bought the face contour kit in medium (£6.49).

The last product is the brow kit in light (£8.50) before this I didn't touch my brows but a friend changed my mind about the difference it can make to your makeup look.

Are there any Sleek must haves that I need to know about? I will defiantly be expanding my collection!

Lush Haul | Christmas

Christmasssssss the snows falling down, Christmasssss I'm watching it fall.
It is that time of year again were the Christmas albums are on full blast and I think there perfectly matched with a super warm bath at night with lush. I think I was quite tame this year but here's the four products I bought to me from Santa.

Father Christmas | The ultimate Christmas bath bomb, starts from red and turns your bath green. It smells identical to snowy fairy and the bubblegum lip scrub.

The Christmas Penguin | How cute is this little guy, bless. A crumbly bubble bar with super fresh ingredients that will give you a refreshing bath for sure.

A French Kiss | Not in the Christmas collection but lavender is one of my favourite scents. It makes you feel so soft and it's really moisturising. Perfect for before bed time.

Christmas Eve | I can't wait to use this the night before the big crimbo day. It smells amazing!

Quick Airport Beauty Haul

I recently flew into Manchester airport and back for a long girlie weekend, it was obvious from the start that shopping would be involved even though we only had our small hand luggage cases. Boots was our first point of call and of course there was a 3 for 2 offer on that I just can not take advantage of. So these are my three purchases.

Barry M Clear all in one basecoat, topcoat & nail hardener. Pretty standard, I just needed a basecoat so this will be very handy.
Barry M Gelly nail paint in Mustard. I love mustard coloured clothes and when I saw this I thought I would give it a go, I also really like the Gelly collection.
Rimmel Brow This Way styling gel in Dark Brown. I had another nail polish in my hand until I realised it was 3 for 2 across all cosmetics. I love my sleek brow kit but I thought I would try something new.

These were small enough to fit into my already bulging case ready to take away and try at home, excited!

Mini Make-Up Haul

Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayon | Plum Russian
I only have one other shade in this range, peach on the peach and to be honest I thought it was just ok. Thinking it could have just been the shade on me I gave Plum Russian a go. Again I wasn't all that happy, I didn't think the dark colour transferred well. Maybe I was expecting too much pigment because it's such a lovely dark colour but it seemed a bit washy outy. I could still use it for subtle day time wear though which is a plus!

Bourjois Health Mix Foundation | 52 Vanilla
I really needed to change up my foundations as I currently have 3 different ones from Rimmel so I did need to branch out a bit. Think came highly recommended by a lot of beauty bloggers so I gave it a try. I love it! I went for  lighter shade so I could tweak it with brownser depending on what look I was going for.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer | Classic Beige
I only ever use the Collection concealer but I wanted a different one more suited to covering my under eyes which a lot of people were saying that this was perfect for! I like having different concealers for different things and this is perfect for anywhere I want to brighten.

Lush Haul | Halloween

Northern Lights | Bath Bomb
I've used half of this stick already, it turned the water a gorgeous purple colour after it stopped fizzing blues, greens and yellows. So relaxing, 100% repurchase!

Bubblegum | Lip Scrub
It was a toss up between the bubblegum and the mint flavour but I went for this just because of the pink colour, it's a little bit more exciting. I've only used this already and I think it did make a big difference. My lips feel a lot more smooth.

Wizard | Bubble Bar
I haven't used this yet but I've seen a lot of good blog posts about it and it's only here for Halloween so I thought I may get it before it's gone. It's got cleaning and brightening oils with an uplifting fragrance so I think I'm going to leave this for when I'm hungover during Halloween. Doubt it will take me long to try out!

LUSH Wishlist | Halloween 2014 Edition

The wonderful products of LUSH are no secret, they are mentioned and raved about consistently, and rightly so in my opinion. Fight against animal testing, ethical buying, vegetarian friendly, hand made, it's not hard to see why these products are so popular. I am defiantly on the bandwagon, I would be driving it if I could and there is nothing more exciting than new collections and limited editions. This post will be about the Halloween products in the Autumn/Winter 2014 collection that I so desperately need, I mean want, I really mean need.

Little Lush Haul

Since I'm no longer a student any more and I live at home, I get to indulge in a relaxing bath when ever I want. A major thing a missed about home while away. Obviously everyone's favourite shop for their bath related pleasures is Lush and I am no exception.

The Comforter
One of my all time favourites, bubbly pink bath, perfect.

Big Blue
I felt like a mermaid with this and lets get real who doesn't want to feel like a mermaid.

Boots Order Haul

Hey peeps!
I've got a really poopy cold that won't go away, pure sick of it but I gotta keep on keepin on! One more exam to go and that will be me, finished university for evs! So exciting but I should really be focusing on causes and treatments of abnormal illnesses, gotta get that 40% haha.
I'm writing this while blasting Haim's album Days Are Gone and every so often I'll sing to myself in the mirror beside my bed while throwing some subtle shapes that have been restricted from me lying like a cold queen in my bed. Just thought I'd draw a mental picture for your there.

Anyywayy, sidetracked, I bought some wee things from boots! I've been wanting to try something from the Origins range for a while, so I asked on a blog chat on twitter which was worth the hype. Follow my drunk tweets HERE for your own amusement.
I ended up wanting the Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask and thought ok, that'll do me as a little treat, put it in the basket and make the mistake of continuing to shop. Here's where I go wrong and ended up putting the Ginzing Refreshing Eye Cream in my basket also. I needed something for my dark circles though, esp coming into summer!
There was also a 3 for 2 and by golly I can never resist. So I purchased some ecotools brushes, 24 hour colour tattoo eyeshadow in shade Metallic Pomegranate and a Sleek lipstick in Papaya Punch.

I'm quite good at treating myself when I have no money, hashtag priorities.
Excited to try these though because I have heard really good things.

Note to self: your cold could be worse, positive mind, positive life.

Boots Haul

It's 3 for 2 on everythinggg at boots at the minute. How was I suppose to resist?
I only had a few things to get so it wasn't a massive splurge.

Firstly I needed shampoo, bit boring but I'm always switching up to try and find one that gives my hair the biggest volume so hopefully this Aussie shampoo will do the trick!

I've seen a lot of blog posts about the Garnier micellar cleansing water being a dupe for Bioderma and I just had to get it, I'm quite excited to try!

Blackheads are never a good thing and mine seem to be worse lately so I had to get something. I bought Garnier's anti-blackhead deep pore wash to give it a go, fingers crossed it works!

I seen that Barry M had new silk nail polish out and spotted a gorge pink shade that would be perfect for spring!

I've never owned a gel eyeliner and really wanted to try one so I purchased Collection's lasting colour gel eyeliner in black. I'm sure it will take me more than a few attempts to perfect the cat eye look!

The latest Company magazine has the beautiful Zoe Sugg on the cover and even though I don't purchase magazines often, I had to get it, felt sort of proud haha. Well in it was a sample of Rimmel BB cream in light matte and I was super impressed with it. Again, perfect for spring!

3 for 2 is seriously my down fall and as I haven't tried any of these products before, saving £8 on them was a good shout and I'm excited to try them all.

First Beauty Makeup Haul in 2014!

I've been feeling super poorly recently so I took a trip to boots to cheer me up! It worked.

I don't normal have a look at the collection section apart from when I need a concealer but I thought I'd have a nosy. To be honest the £3 price tag drew me in and I bought the smokey eye palette, because it was so cheap I thought I'd give it a go.

Now that I have darker hair I've wanted to try a darker foundation and bronzer so I bought rimmels match perfection in classic beige and bourjois delice de poudre bronzing powder.

Something I did not own before now was lip liners. I have the smallest lips ever that completely disappear when I smile so I though I have to do something about it. I watched a video on making your lips look bigger and was inspired to buy rimmels 1000 kisses lasting finish lip pencil in indian pink and MUAs lip liner in pink me up.

With MUA products usually being £1 I can't stay away from it, I caved and bought an eyeliner in starry night which is a glittery black, a bronzer in shade 3, a blusher in cupcake and a lipstick in shade 11.

Another lipstick I bought was Kate Moss in shade 107, both lipsticks pictured below.

Kate Moss 107 (left)
MUA 11 (right)

So that was my makeup buys to make me feel better! It's defiantly helping.

2013 Makeup Favourites

Everything here is pretty much in my Autumn Beauty Staples post I done HERE with a few things added in.
First the Kate Moss Lipstick in 004 which is a vampire purple colour that I wore a lot towards the end of the year for a more dramatic and edgy look. My favourite thing here would probably be the Sleek contorting kit, it makes such a difference to your makeup, mines in medium and it blends in so nicely!

I've been using the Sleek eye shadow ultra matts palette most this year because it has a good mix of colours. I love the browns for a more natural look and then it has the dark greens and purples to change your look up a bit.

I love reading other peoples favourites so if you have done this post please link it below! :)

Hair Products: Review

I have the worlds flattest hair, it's quite fine as well and really long so to get any volume in it is an absolute chore!
I'm always trying to find a product that will basically magic my hair into a huge mane.

John Frieda Luxurious Volume Shampoo and Conditioner -
I think maybe leaving the volume to styling products is a good idea even though these did give me a bit of volume, it didn't really work wonders and it actually made my scalp flake so I defiantly wouldn't purchase them again.
got2b Powder'ful volumizing styling powder -
My friend swore by this so I caved and bought it. It's such a weird feeling in your hair but it does do the job. It's really good if you don't like to back comb your hair.
Toni&Guy sea salt spray -
I'm not a massive fan of this, I just don't like the way my hair feels with it but I do like it if I'm putting my hair in a ponytail so it's not poker straight and has a bit of texture.
Toni&Guy volume mousse -
I use this before I blow dry my hair and I do notice a difference in my hair and the bottle lasts forever!

got2b glued hairspray -
Get it, just get it. It's amazing, not the nicest smell but it will last forever in your hair.
Fat Hair thickening creme -
I've only used this on my roots but I have noticed it thickening my hair which is great cus that's what it's supposed to do so I can't fault it.
Umberto Giannini Backcomb in a Bottle -
This smells amazing and it does lift my hair without putting a brush to it so it's perfect for when I'm in a rush or just want a little boost.

I don't know how helpful they were but I know I like to read reviews of products before I get them. I sometimes think nothing will work on my hair cus the products above do wonders for others but it's just finding the ones that match your hair type. I'm all about volume so my search continues for that miracle product.
