Halloween Jewels

I am in love with these three purchases from Claire's Accessories, I think they will be perfect for when I am going out over Halloween.

How amazing is this chocker, reminds me of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the purple jewel is too cute. I can't wait to wear this with a dark makeup look.

Sorry for the blurry photo but I picked this long necklace up as well. I love the crescent moon shape with the crosses and stars. I would wear this with anything.

This is my favourite of the three and I think I will leave this for Halloween night. It's like a 1920's Queen on Darkness vibe. Haha I'm the worst at describing.

These were part of a 3 for 2 deal so I couldn't resist! Can wait to go out out an wear them now!

Candles | Lemon Cake

We all love candles, I'm constantly buying them and looking for new scents. I'm not a huge fan of food scented candles, I like to have a lot burning at once so neutral scents is usually what I look for so the room isn't super over powering. However I seen this jar in Savers today and I thought it was the cutest thing. When I seen lemon pound cake scent I was a bit sceptical to say the least because it sounds awful but I was so surprised. It has such a fresh sugary lemon scent that's not too strong. I love reusing jars after they burn out as well and it was only £1.99 I think, happy!

LUSH Wishlist | Halloween 2014 Edition

The wonderful products of LUSH are no secret, they are mentioned and raved about consistently, and rightly so in my opinion. Fight against animal testing, ethical buying, vegetarian friendly, hand made, it's not hard to see why these products are so popular. I am defiantly on the bandwagon, I would be driving it if I could and there is nothing more exciting than new collections and limited editions. This post will be about the Halloween products in the Autumn/Winter 2014 collection that I so desperately need, I mean want, I really mean need.

Tattoo Wishlist

The big one. I've wanted something very similar to this for ages! I'd like mine a little smaller on the front of my right thigh. It would be a tribute to my parents, even thought they aren't entirely keen on the idea. They both have tattoos but aren't keen on me getting any more, probably just worried encase I regret it. Awh well, it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission!

My second most wanted tattoo is a character from Tim Burton's first short film, Vincent. The amount of times I have watched it is crazy, I don't even think I can count that high. There was a time were I would put it on straight after I had come home from a nigh out. I would just sit on my own at 5am, probably eating everything in the house. Strange, very strange. Anyway, left leg above the ankle is where I would like this beauty.

Very simple, very meaningful. An equality tattoo, I desperately want this on the side of my middle finger on the part closest to the knuckle if that makes sense. However I'm too scared of what my mummy would say, yes I am 21 and yes I still listen to my mother. But I could hide it if I wanted to right? Right? Please say yes.

I only came across this design a few nights ago and I think it fits what I want perfectly. I've always wanted something to do with us humans being connected to the universe. Skeleton is all humans, in the ocean the oldest most natural of human condition and a mermaid, who doesn't love mermaids. I just thought the pearl was the realisation of that, the key.

This tattoo has become a bit of a trend, I've seen a lot of it on Pinterest but I think it's the cutest idea. I would 100% get the coordinates of my home town if I moved away permanently. The placement in this picture is perfect I feel, I'd say I'd get it there too.
_____

That's my wishlist! If I had the money I would have each of these right now. So it's save save save for now until I can tick these all off!

Brilliant Banana Bread

As I'm typing this the mixture is in the oven and it smells divine, watering at the mouth here. Anyway, in this post I'm making, you guessed it, banana bread. The YouTube play bar above is the music I was listening to while baking this, 'Bastille - Bad Blood', have a listen too while you read this post if you'd like!

Ingredients

140g butter, softened, plus extra for the tin
140g caster sugar
2 large eggs, beaten
140g self-raising flour
1 tsp baking powder
2 very ripe bananas, mashed

didn't need the milk haha
Method

Heat oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4. Butter your loaf tin and line the base and sides with baking parchment.
Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then slowly add the eggs with a little flour. Fold in the remaining flour, baking powder and mashed bananas. Pour into the tin evenly and bake for about 30 mins.

Guys I'm so proud at how it turned out, the top picture looks so gooood and trust me when I say it tasted even better. Super happy right now, even though it's more of a banana cake than bread!

What I'm Listening To | Girl Power

Part 2 in the Boys Vs. Girls #WILT highlights the fabulous female solo artists that are kicking butt with their simply divine voices.
____________________

Ella Henderson - Glow

This 18 year old British singer-songwriter came sixth on the ninth series of the UK X Factor and was signed straight away. Her first single Ghost was a major hit soaring straight to number 1 in the UK charts when released. Her second single Glow is a solid follow up with a youthful twilight sound.

____________________

Lykke Li - No Rest For The Wicked

Li Lykke Timotej Svensson is a 28 year old singer-songwriter from Sweden with very indie pop, electric sounds. I hear her songs quite a lot on TV shows, particularly at dramatic times or to end the episode and they fit perfectly. The crashing drums in the chorus of this song are like a massive wave that come after those soft lyrics.

Sia - Fire Meet Gasoline

Sia Furler is a 38 year old singer-songwriter from South Australia. She has over 20 awards under her belt for her work with other artists as well as her own. Her single Chandelier shot to number 1 quickly putting her in the spotlight, which brought to light her song writing abilities as she wrote famous songs such as Pretty Hurts for Beyonce and Diamonds for Rihanna. Fire Meet Gasoline is a roaring song that I pray she releases as a single, it is sublime.

That's part 2, Girl Power!
So that's Boys Vs. Girls, which post did you prefer?
Personally I think all six singer-songwriters have a massive influence on the music scene right now despite their gender obviously (had to write that to save someone a rant) but I had fun making these two posts.
Hope you enjoyed them also!

What I'm Listening To | Let's Hear It For The Boys

This post is Part 1 of a Boys Vs. Girls #WILT. I will let you decide which post you prefer!
These three boys are killing the music scene, each of their voices are so different but they own it just the same.

Sam Smith - Nirvana

This boy! He has to have the most superlative voice in music right now. Only 22, this singer-songwriter from London, England, has already won awards for critics choice, sound of 2014 and breakout music artist. This is my favourite song of his and one of my favourite songs ever, yes it is that good! Such a chilled vibe with a euphoric chorus.

____________________

Hozier - Angel of Small Death and the Codeine Scene

My favourite artist at the minute, 24 year old Andrew Hozier-Byrne from County Wicklow in Ireland, known mainly as just Hozier. Since his single 'Take Me To Church' hit the charts he has started to grow in popularity, preforming on hit American shows like SNL, David Letterman and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. I've listened to his self titled album over and over again, it was really hard to choose a favourite but I went with this finger clicking, toe tapping, gospel like tune.

Troye Sivan - Fun

YouTube sensation, Troye Mellet, is a 19 year old South African born singer-songwriter and actor living in Perth, Australia. He is the cutest wee thing! I have been watching his YouTube videos for over a year now and I couldn't be more happy that he is releasing his own music. His EP TRXYE is out now and shot straight to number 1 when released. Fun is my favourite song off the EP, digging the relaxed dreamy vibe.

ED SHEERAN

09/10/14 me and my little brother went to see Ed Sheeran in Belfast. It was my brothers birthday present from me because was turned 18 two days later. He was amazingggg. He sang my favourite song 'I See Fire' which I was super happy about. It didn't last as long as I thought it would, maybe an hour and a half.

I've seen him once before about 4 years ago but this was my favourite show by far! I managed to make a wee vine also if you fancy checking that out.
