A Walk through Jesmond Dene

Post uni life is the one. Maximum chill days with zero guilt.
Strolls in the sunshine is one way to spend your day, we live so close to Heaton Park which I wrote a post on here and it connects to Jesmond Dene so we walked a little further today.

Such a nice wee dander, now to make some beans on toast and have a sit down (still living that student life).

When my wee Irish chummys came to play

This photo completely sums this wee woman up. She is a drink pusher, she pushes people. (mean girls shout out there).
So this was Thursday 15th May (sorry uni has made me fall very behind on posting!) and two of my very good Irish friends came over to stay in Newcastle for a 21st. Michaela flew over from home and Niamh decided on the day to travel down on the train from Glasgow and I'm so glad she did. These two are quite the pair when they get together.

We are the wolfpack an no matter where we are in the world or how long we haven't spoken, we are always able to pick up right were we left off and those friendships, I feel, are very rare and I cherish them dearly.

The Thursday night out was some craic and the morning after the wolfpack went to spoons for the cure (burger and a refreshing jug of pornstar martinis) while we were there we looked up train times for Niamh to head back. Half 2, fair enough, me and Kyla got the taxi down to the train station with her so we could have a look about town. We got out of the taxi and all it took was for me to say 'Oh look, there's an O'Neills' which is an Irish Bar for Niamh to reply 'When's the last train'. 14 pitchers and a few honey bombs later we were well and truly on our way.
Proper wolfpack send off.

My friends from home are some of the craziest people I know but defiantly the most caring and selfless.
I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve.
Jesus, does anyone?

Note to self: Relationships are more important than work. Enjoy life and the people in it.

Psychology Grad Ball 2014

Thursday 22nd May 2014 was my Psychology Grad Ball.
Best night of the whole three years!
It completely summed up my time here in Newcastle.

I took my fellow Irish chummy Matthew and everyone I know of my course was there, it was just the perfect night! Before the meal we got to go on a 4D motion ride that sprayed you with water! That and tan do not mix, apart from that it was super fun and we got to look like the men in black for 5 minutes.

The meal was lovely and the free bottles of wine weren't too bad either! The tunes were brilliant and it didn't take long for my two drunk friends to get up and start the party.

Lisa falling during an attempt to get in this photo haha!

My gorgey girlies Kerry and Amy!

Mmm pornstar martinis with a shot of prosecco, my fave!

So the night was filled with incredible memories, maybe the best one being Take That - Never Forget coming on and the whole ball singing along to it, beautiful moment caught on camera.

I can't believe my three years at university are over. I have had the best time of my life and it will be super emotional leaving my home in Newcastle and saying goodbye to some of the most amazing people ever.
Grad Ball was the perfect send off.

Note to self: Appreciate now and stop living for tomorrow.

Boots Order Haul

Hey peeps!
I've got a really poopy cold that won't go away, pure sick of it but I gotta keep on keepin on! One more exam to go and that will be me, finished university for evs! So exciting but I should really be focusing on causes and treatments of abnormal illnesses, gotta get that 40% haha.
I'm writing this while blasting Haim's album Days Are Gone and every so often I'll sing to myself in the mirror beside my bed while throwing some subtle shapes that have been restricted from me lying like a cold queen in my bed. Just thought I'd draw a mental picture for your there.

Anyywayy, sidetracked, I bought some wee things from boots! I've been wanting to try something from the Origins range for a while, so I asked on a blog chat on twitter which was worth the hype. Follow my drunk tweets HERE for your own amusement.
I ended up wanting the Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask and thought ok, that'll do me as a little treat, put it in the basket and make the mistake of continuing to shop. Here's where I go wrong and ended up putting the Ginzing Refreshing Eye Cream in my basket also. I needed something for my dark circles though, esp coming into summer!
There was also a 3 for 2 and by golly I can never resist. So I purchased some ecotools brushes, 24 hour colour tattoo eyeshadow in shade Metallic Pomegranate and a Sleek lipstick in Papaya Punch.

I'm quite good at treating myself when I have no money, hashtag priorities.
Excited to try these though because I have heard really good things.

Note to self: your cold could be worse, positive mind, positive life.

Top Ten | TV Shows

This is my forth Top Ten post, previously I've done a post on my favourite FilmsBooks and Gigs so click on them to find out my top ten!!

So this post is on my Top Ten TV Shows, I'm not sure what order they go in but there a good enough mix I think and of course I recommend them ALL! First, I'm going to get the classic out of the way, everyone's favourite.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S
(self explanatory an Chandler is my fave!)

Bob's Burgers
This show is animated gold, Tina is my spirit animal. The show is about the Belchers, parents Bob and Linda, and their children Tina, Gene, and Louise who run a hamburger restaurant.

Ru Paul's Drag Race
I am living for this TV Show, it's pure hilar bear. It's an American reality competition television series in which RuPaul plays the roles of host, mentor, and source of inspiration for this series, which details RuPaul's search for America's next drag superstar. Honestly I can't tell you enough how much I love this show!!!

Dexter
On a completely different note, Dexter blood spatter pattern analyst for Miami Metro Police Department who also leads a secret life as a serial killer, hunting down criminals who have slipped through the cracks of the justice system. You can't help but love Dexter tho!

Sherlock
I loved the feature films and I adore the TV series. I wish there was 20 episodes in a series and now just 3, there so so good! I was having heart palpitations the whole way through series 3, I loved the writers so much for playing up to the fan fiction, it was perfect.

Adventure Time
The series follows the adventures of Finn a human boy, and his best friend and adoptive brother Jake, a dog with magical powers to change shape and grow and shrink at will. Finn and Jake live in the post-apocalyptic Land of Ooo. It's gathered quite the cult following now in people around my age, so funny for a kids cartoon.

Criminal Minds
Ah Spencer Reid you lil cutie. He's my favourite in this crime show about FBI profilers, it's going on season 9 and I've seen every episode about 5 times. Big fave.

Gossip Girl
I just finished this before Easter after watching them back to back, start to finish. I do not know how people waited every week for this. I was absolutely hooked! Great characters, Blair and Chuck being my fave, I have so much love for their relationship.

Modern Family
This has been my favourite show since 2009 when it came out, I've been watching it every week for 5 years. I adore it. It's about three different families units who are all related to each other. Every family member is so lovable especially Phil and Cam!

Pokemon
And of course, the ultimate. Now I'm not even trying to be a quirky nerd here, I always have, always will be dying about Pokemon. There just must be something about your childhood favourites that stick with you. It would make sense that every time I'm stressed with uni work I'd put on a 20 minute Pokemon episode and it would completely chill me. Pokemon vibes. Cheers Netflix.

No particular order but there ya goo :) The above are so so good like I can't cope with how good they are haha. Enjoy if you do watch and let me know some of your fave's!

What I Did Over Easter

I've been such a bad blogger recently because of uni but I'm almost finished it's scary! I got my two assignments finished early tonight so I thought I'd write up my Easter post. It basically covers 3 weeks, that how bad my blogging has got!

First this I done when I flew back home was have a bath. I miss them so much at uni because I only ever have showers as our bath isn't the nicest. So I popped the marshmallow Lush bath bomb in, poured a glass of rose and put my music on. Pure bliss!

One Friday night, me, mummy, my auntie and cousin went out to an Indian for dinner. I had bombay potatoes and tarka daal and quite a few glasses of red wine! It was so much fun catching up with the family, a lot of pictures like the one above were taken. It was some craic.

Of course once I was home I had to catch up with my main girls as well. Our local RamJam was calling so for Easter Sunday well all had drinks at the house and headed for the bar. It's nice living in a small town sometimes, literally everyone was in the same place!

Dude, I'm engaged! Spoiler (not really much of one tbh).
So as well as going out drinking I watched a lot of Netflix. I lived the dream over Easter. I watched all 13 episodes of Orange is the new Black which I LOVED! I really didn't think I'd like it, that's why I held off for so long but I decided to give it ago. No regrets.

I also came in drunk one night and watched Valiant, which for those of you who don't know, is an animated film about a carrier pigeon in the world war. Cool right? Haha well, it was that film that re sparked my love for ewan mcgregor. I'm literally obsessed.

Me and my chummy Matty went to Belfast one Saturday for the lols. Look how cute he is, I can't. We ate, we drank, we shopped. And we also got piercingssss. I finally got my nose pierced which I've already done a post on here!

I also went to a wedding over Easter. I live for wedding parties like I am 100% here for them. So I got a new dress which I LOVE, it's a 60s style shift dress and I'm just dying about the pattern. I also tried to have my hair matching in a sort of beehive style.

Please excuse the above pictures French but over Easter it was all about positive vibes. Every once in a while something happens in life that makes you think about the big picture. My big picture is filled with positive vibes only.
You do you and you'll be grand :)

A lot of these pictures are on my instagram if you fancy a follow click HERE!

Hopfully after uni I will be able to post a lot more and for that, I am excite :)
