Adventure Time on St. Patrick's Day 2014

Not the most traditional Paddy's Day attire but one of the best years!
I did start early as usual, 11am I think it was, union, pub then back to my house to get ready for an out of this world party. It was for a 21st birthday and I went as the lumpy space princess from adventure time (oh my glob!). The party was awesome and I can just remember dancing in the club all night. Over 14 hours drinking takes it's toll though and I'm defiantly paying for it today!

What did you do for St. Patrick's Day?

What I'm Listening To #6

This WILT post is a bit more random than usual, its got a dupstep remix, pop and new romantic, so hopefully you'll find something you like.

Duran Duran - Ordinary World

I've been listening to a lot of songs I can remember my mum listening too and Duran Duran is her favourite band so they were played quite a lot. I've been replaying this song all week, the chorus is just so nostalgic for me.

Lorde - Ribs (Ryan Hemsworth remix)

I love majestic casual's YouTube channel, they always have such great remix's. This is my current favourite of theirs. I love Lorde's Pure Heroine album and Ribs was one of my favourite's off it so this remix is perfect.

A Great Big World - Rockstar

This came free on iTunes so it's always a bonus when you fall in love with it. There such a happy band, they kind of remind me of Mika. Rumour is that glee is covering this so I'm sure it will blow up after that.

There you go, three great tunes :)

Pukka: Peppermint & Licorice Tea

I am obsessed with this tea.
I'm trying to drink at least one cup of green tea a day and this makes it super easy!
I can't stress enough how much green tea is good for you.
It's 60% peppermint and 40% licorice.
Peppermint to help support digestion.
Licorice to calm and nourish.

I've tried a lot of different tea's and this is by far my favourite.
What's your favourite tea?

Boots Haul

It's 3 for 2 on everythinggg at boots at the minute. How was I suppose to resist?
I only had a few things to get so it wasn't a massive splurge.

Firstly I needed shampoo, bit boring but I'm always switching up to try and find one that gives my hair the biggest volume so hopefully this Aussie shampoo will do the trick!

I've seen a lot of blog posts about the Garnier micellar cleansing water being a dupe for Bioderma and I just had to get it, I'm quite excited to try!

Blackheads are never a good thing and mine seem to be worse lately so I had to get something. I bought Garnier's anti-blackhead deep pore wash to give it a go, fingers crossed it works!

I seen that Barry M had new silk nail polish out and spotted a gorge pink shade that would be perfect for spring!

I've never owned a gel eyeliner and really wanted to try one so I purchased Collection's lasting colour gel eyeliner in black. I'm sure it will take me more than a few attempts to perfect the cat eye look!

The latest Company magazine has the beautiful Zoe Sugg on the cover and even though I don't purchase magazines often, I had to get it, felt sort of proud haha. Well in it was a sample of Rimmel BB cream in light matte and I was super impressed with it. Again, perfect for spring!

3 for 2 is seriously my down fall and as I haven't tried any of these products before, saving £8 on them was a good shout and I'm excited to try them all.

Top Ten | Gigs

I've been to a lot of gigs, more so recently since I've come to university. It's far easier to get tickets to a gig in England than it is in Ireland. Even though I have made some questionable choices of gigs in the past
*cough* westlife *cough* clubland *cough* Akon *cough*
I have been to some awesome gigs, mostly ending up in me going home that night and becoming obsessed with them for the next month.
I'm slowly making a scrapbook of all the gigs I've been too that I hope to update this summer when I've more time and money.
said scrapbook

Let's just jump straight in.

COLDPLAY
(Sunderland, Stadium of Light - 07/06/12)
this was defiantly top of my list, hands down best gig i've ever been too. it was their mylo xyloto tour were they gave out light up bracelets for everyone to wear. it was magical, i only wish i had chris martins view when they all lit up. honestly look you to another world

IMAGINE DRAGONS
(Belfast, Ulster Hall - 19/08/13)
now this was magic, i can't even explain how this gig made me feel. all the synonyms for the word happy x100 i just felt so much joy at this gig. i was with my best friend lorna and the fact that she was feeling it as much as me made it so much better. so much love for the lead singer dan, he made it so memorable

BEYONCE
(Belfast, Odyssey Arena - 31/05/09)
queen b, sasha fierce, i am... world tour. she is flawless. i've been obsessed with every album and i just had to go to this concert! it's the dearest one i've been too but i would have paid double the price. her energy is crazy. cried

KANYE WEST
(Belfast, Odyssey Arena - 08/11/08)
can't believe it was nearly six years ago that i seen this genius. i know he's quite controversial and not everyone loves him but i do. graduation is one of my favourite albums and i used to be obsessed with him around 2008 and i made it known haha. cried

OASIS
(Belfast, Odyssey Arena - 29/10/08)
i'm so glad i got to see these guys before they split. every song i've heard of theirs, i adore. even though the gig was 90% smelly males i have such a good time. ps noel is my favourite hehe

FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE
(Newcastle, Metro Radio Arena - 16/03/12)
the line up that night was perfect, spector, the horrors and florence.
florence was a vision, her voice is just incredible

THE VACCINES
(Belfast, Queens SU - 26/03/11)
front row in a really small venue is my favourite. i swear justin was just singing to me. we also met freddie in the club after the show and nearly got into vip where the rest of the bad were if it hadn't been for a poopy security guard. but they played all my favourite's of the album

BASTILLE
(Edinburgh, Liquid Room - 01/03/13)
these guys are seriously good live. so much energy, sounding identical to the album and dans hair bigger than ever. they seem like such nice guys too in interviews which always makes me like artists more. wish we had of bumped into them after the show cus i'm sure they would have been knocking around

LONDON GRAMMAR
(Newcastle, Northumbria SU - 10/02/14)
i was supposed to see them in october but it got postponed to february but they were worth the wait. hannah reid's voice range is incredible i couldn't get over it also i fancy the drummer and his hair

BEN HOWARD
(Newcastle, Northumbria SU - 20/02/12)
such a good vibe that night, the aura was just so peaceful and hypnotic. i'm really glad i got to see him in such an intimate setting. it was the first time i heard 'depth over distance' and i don't think i'll ever forget it. cried

A Visit from my Little Brother

This weekend I had a wee visit from my younger brother Thomas. I was feeling a little home sick so it was greatly needed. He came over last year when I was in second year and we had a great time!

So I picked him up from the airport and we got the metro back to mine.
It was late at night so we just unpacked and chilled.

Look our mummy got us matching jimjams cus she's super cute!

We went to the cinema, shopping, ate good food and had good craic all round. This is an outfit I got him, I could not believe he didn't own a pair of skinny jeans so we went straight to Primark to sort that out!
The shirt is from Topman, I'm so glad he loves it!

He's Rosie obviously, just look at those cheeks! Haha
It's been great having a little bit of home over in Newcastle, I've had such a nice time but now it's time for some serious work as my dissertation is due in a month. Scary times!
